The International Relations and Labor Committee of the Parliament today guided the administration to do the needful to quit counseling firms from "plundering" Malaysia-bound Nepali specialists in name of visa handling and other charges.A Nepali trying to work in Malaysia needs to pay at any rate Rs 17,600 visa expense and different charges under various headings. The Malaysian Embassy in Kathmandu has set up a counseling firm for visa handling. The House board today summoned Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi, Foreign Secretary Shankar Das Bairagi and Labor Secretary Laxman Prasad Mainali and asked why the specialists were being charged excessively for the sake of visa and consultancy expenses. The charges under various headings incorporate Rs 4,500 for bio-metric distinguishing proof; Rs 6,000 as One Stop Center expense; Rs 3,200 for movement trusted status, in addition to other things. Also, one needs to pay Rs 700 visa expense at the Malaysian Embassy.The One Stop Center and Immigration Security Clearance plans were started since September, which cost an extra Rs 9,200. Talking at the advisory group meeting, legislators opined that the presentation of OSC and ISC were intended to wool poor Nepalis. They said the legislature needed to quit sending specialists to Malaysia quickly, on the off chance that it couldn't quit counseling firms from fleecing poor Nepali occupation seekers.
